WSECU is seeking Member Consultants to support the Pullman Bishop Branch, providing banking services and helping members with loans, accounts and transactions.

The role emphasizes personal relationships, sales and service goals, and active participation in campus events like orientation and Week of Welcome to strengthen WSECU-WSU ties. Training and advancement are noted, with a tiered starting pay linked to current tier.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year experience in a financial institution or retail/service-related position.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word.

• Performing all branch functions including consumer lending, opening new accounts, and providing teller services

• Understanding your members’ journey, offering products and services to meet their unique needs

• Attending and actively participating with staff in WSU Parent and Student Orientation events as well as WSU Week of Welcome events to foster WSECU-WSU relationships and support student financial needs throughout the year
• Organizing, coordinating, and attending WSU weekday and weekend events, including Saturdays, and 2-4 Sundays each year, where applicable

Current WSECU Member Consultants I, II, or III who apply will be hired in the same tier as you currently hold

Member Consultants are the heart and soul of WSECU. In this role you will be supporting both the Pullman Bishop Branch. Every day, you dig deep to listen to what our members need, and you go out of your way to make banking not only easy, but downright pleasant! You’re the go-to, one-stop shop for our members. Knowledgeable, empathetic and eager to help, you know your members by name, and they know you! WSECU is a Co-Op with an all-volunteer board—we are truly accountable to our members, but we couldn’t do it without you. Ready to learn more?

Your Day May Include

What You Bring To The Team

For Member Consultant I

• Minimum of one (1) year experience in a financial institution or retail/service-related position
• Computer experience including proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word
• Must be willing to register with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry, including fingerprinting and a national criminal background check, and maintain and renew the registration annually

Competitive pay for MCI:

$21.50 - $32.25 per hour, dependent on relevant qualifications, plus an annual discretionary incentive plan and benefits package

• The target starting pay for this position is $21.50 - $26.87 per hour, typically within the first half of the range. Actual offers will be based on individual qualifications relevant to the role and will not take an applicant’s pay history into account.
• The range above allows our employees room for growth through annual merit and other pay increases during their tenure in the position.

For Member Consultant II

• Minimum of one (1) years’ experience in a financial institution processing consumer loans, new accounts and member transactions
• Computer experience including proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word
• Must be willing to register with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry, including fingerprinting and a national criminal background check, and maintain and renew the registration annually

Competitive pay for MCII:

$24.05 - $36.07 per hour, dependent on relevant qualifications, plus an annual discretionary incentive plan and benefits package

• The target starting pay for this position is $24.05 - $30.06 per hour, typically within the first half of the range. Actual offers will be based on individual qualifications relevant to the role and will not take an applicant’s pay history into account.
• The range above allows our employees room for growth through annual merit and other pay increases during their tenure in the position.

Bonus Points If You Have

• Credit Union experience
• Two (2) years of college (MC II)
• Experience with cash handling, lending, new accounts or a combination
• Experience with: Symitar, Meridian Link, Image Center, Application Xtender, and Coconut

When you’d work:

Monday – Friday, 7:45 am – 5:45 pm, Full-time employees work a minimum of 40 hours per week in addition, this position requires availability on some weekends and evening hours as needed for events with scheduling flexibility required to meet the needs of the branch.
