Job summary

The Aspenwood Company is seeking a full-time Resident Medication Aide to provide compassionate, reliable care at Wood Glen Court in Spring, Texas. You will administer medications, monitor responses, and maintain accurate records while upholding safety and HIPAA requirements.

Candidates should have a High School diploma or GED and 6 months to 1 year of resident care experience; RN delegation for medication administration is required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• 6 months to 1 year of prior resident care experience, preferably with seniors.
• Delegation by a Registered Nurse for medication administration.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, monitor residents' responses, and adhere to community infection control policies.
• Maintain residents’ records daily, documenting medication distribution, leisure activities, incidents, observations, and any changes in residents' conditions.
• Count controlled substances with outgoing RMAs, ensuring accuracy before accepting keys.
• Provide direct resident care as described in the Resident Assistant Job Description.
• Follow proper procedures in emergencies and respond promptly to resident requests for assistance.
