Diablo Valley Post Acute is hiring a Medical Records Assistant to join our team in Concord, CA. The role requires organizing, updating, and safeguarding resident medical records with HIPAA compliance in mind.

The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, solid organizational and communication skills, and the ability to work independently to meet deadlines. Pay rate is $19.50 per hour, full-time schedule Monday–Friday.

Qualifications

• Experience in medical records or healthcare administration preferred.
• Knowledge of HIPAA and medical terminology is a plus.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Computer proficiency and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, organize, and update resident medical records.
• Ensure medical records are accurate, complete, and properly filed.
• Assist with admissions, discharges, and medical record documentation.
• Retrieve and process medical records as requested.
• Maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations; assist with audits.
