Job summary

Optim Medical Center - Screven in Sylvania, GA, is seeking a full-time Medical Laboratory Technician for our Flex Shift. The role involves phlebotomy, processing specimens, and operating lab instruments under supervision.

The ideal candidate holds an associate degree or MLT certificate and an active AMT/ASCP license, with 2 years of laboratory experience, preferably in a clinical office setting. Competitive benefits and 401K are offered.

Qualifications

Associate degree or certificate from an accredited Medical Laboratory Technician program.
Current AMT or ASCP license/registry (or equivalent) required.
2 years lab experience, preferably in a clinical office lab.

Responsibilities

Perform phlebotomy and prepare specimens for in-house and reference lab testing.
Operate automated chemistry, hematology, immunology, and urinalysis instruments under supervision.
Perform manual tests following detailed instructions.
Verify quality control and maintain accurate records.
Report test results per clinical protocols and alert for critical values.
Assist with maintaining instruments, equipment and inventory.
Comply with OSHA regulations and safety protocols.
Operate LIS and office EMR systems; duties may vary as needed.
