Job summary

Premise Health Inc. in Bristol, TN seeks a Full Time Medical Assistant to support employees and dependents in our Health Center. 34 hours/week with schedule Mon/Wed 7am-6pm, Tue/Thu 7am-1pm, Fri 7-11am; strong phlebotomy and front desk skills required.

You’ll perform vital signs, triage, patient records, room setup, injections, lab tests, EKGs, and front desk duties. Epic experience and health provider certifications are a plus.

Qualifications

• National certification in Medical Assisting from a Premise Health approved organization or an accredited Medical Assistant program with hands-on externship completed.
• Current certification with hands-on training in AHA, ARC or equivalent Basic Life Support for health care providers is required.
• State Lab Certificate (NV only) must obtain within 6 months of hire.
• CMA certification from recognized bodies (SC only) is acceptable if approved by the Board of Medical Examiners.
• Previous Medical Assistant experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interviews patients and measures vital signs (pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height).
• Maintains patient health records to ensure accurate and up-to-date records.
• Prepares treatment rooms, cleans and sterilizes instruments.
• Medication administration including injections, performs laboratory tests, operates EKGs and other diagnostic equipment as permitted by state regulations.
• Performs administrative tasks, assists at the front desk, schedules appointments, makes follow-up calls, and orders medical supplies.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
