Job summary

Central Ohio Primary Care Physicians, Inc. in Columbus, OH is seeking a Medical Assistant to provide administrative and clinical support in a busy primary care practice.

You will work with the clinical care team to deliver patient care, take vitals, draw blood, administer vaccines, prepare exam rooms, manage specimens and help with patient education while upholding HIPAA and confidentiality. This full-time role offers a benefits-eligible schedule, Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm, in

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of a Medical Assistant program.
• MA certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the clinical care team to deliver the best care for our patients.
• Set-up medical equipment and perform related tests, administer injections, and perform routine specimen collection and point of care tests.
• Interview patients regarding medical concerns and obtain medical history.
• Measure and record vital signs, such as pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, height and weight in EHR.
• Responsible for blood draws and specimen processing.
• Prepare patients and treatment rooms for exams and assist with patient education.
• Review orders, call in prescriptions/refills, and communicate results to patients.
• Maintain patient confidentiality in alignment with HIPAA.
