Job summary

Central Ohio Primary Care is seeking a Medical Assistant to provide administrative and clinical support in a primary care setting in Columbus, OH. You will assist the clinical care team, prepare exam rooms, collect specimens, and perform routine procedures in line with HIPAA and practice guidelines.

You will interview patients, record vital signs, assist with vaccinations, and manage documentation in the EHR.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduate of a Medical Assistant program.
• MA certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work with the clinical care team to deliver high-quality patient care.
• Set up exam rooms, prepare equipment, and perform routine tests and injections.
• Administer vaccines as directed and perform blood draws/specimen processing.
• Interview patients and obtain medical history; measure vital signs and document in EHR.
• Call in prescriptions or refills as approved; communicate test results to patients.
• Maintain confidentiality and HIPAA compliance; assist with patient education and paperwork.
