Job summary

Bay Crossing Family Medicine in Annapolis, MD is seeking a Medical Assistant to support patient care and front-desk operations. A bilingual Spanish speaker is preferred; the role requires rooming patients, taking vitals, and assisting clinicians during exams.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Cover front desk/reception as needed; assist with scheduling and patient flow.
• Triage calls for clinicians and assist with lab, pharmacy, or specialist coordination.

Job description

Family Medicine practice in Annapolis area seeking a Medical Assistant, bilingual Spanish preferred. Candidates will have a friendly smile, take initiative, be a team player and care with compassion. Target Start Date: September 2026

Responsibilities include:

• Room patient, take vitals, prepare patient for exam with clinician, reconcile medications, monitor quality measures and concisely convey to clinician patient concerns and questions
• Communicate and suggest schedule changes throughout the workday
• Vaccine preparation and administration; maintain temperature logs and
• inventory
• Keep exam rooms clean and stocked with supplies; Maintain sample supply closet
• Under supervision of clinician provide clinical results, orders and instructions to patients
• Triage patient, lab, specialist and pharmacy telephone calls for clinicians
• Knowledge of instrument sterilization and EKG a plus
• Coverage of the front desk/reception required

Requirements include:

• High School graduate with undergraduate coursework demonstrating interest
• in pursuit of medical or PA school
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• Keen interest in medical terminology, procedures and diagnoses
• Computer Proficiency - Familiarity with Electronic Medical Records, HIPAA & OSHA guidelines (preferred)

License/Certification/Requirements:

• BLS Certification (Preferred)
• Certified Medical Assistant (Preferred, though not required)
• At least 1 year in an outpatient medical office setting, primary care (preferred).
