Job summary

Spitzer Industries in Houston, TX is seeking a Material Handler to join our team in a full-time, hourly nonexempt role. You will safely load, unload and move materials, stage items, and tag them for proper inventory control while adhering to HSE standards.

The position requires 2–3+ years of related experience, ability to lift up to 45 pounds, and familiarity with pallet jacks or cranes. We offer a fast-paced environment, overtime opportunities, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• 2 to 3+ years of experience in similar or related position.
• Knowledge of Company Procedures and Policies.
• Exposure to shop hazards including welding fumes, heat, noise.
• Physically able to stand, move, and lift up to 45 pounds.
• Experience with material handling equipment (pallet jack, crane).

Responsibilities

• Basic understanding of shop/yard layout and how to stage and locate materials.
• Safely loading, unloading and transfer / movement of material.
• Perform assigned activities according to shop requirements and supervisor directions.
• Ensure the material is properly staged and stored in designated locations.
• Make sure items are properly tagged and labeled.
• Knowledge of how to use and safely operate material handling equipment (pallet jack, crane).
• May operate a forklift to transport stored material into production areas.
• Complies with all health, safety regulations and requirements.
• Follow all health safety procedures outlined by the Company.
