Job summary

The Las Vegas Rescue Mission is seeking a Medication Management Specialist to join our Recovery program team in Las Vegas. This full-time role oversees day-to-day management of residents' medications, coordinates MAT care, and ensures accurate MAR documentation and safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Certification as Medication Technician or Pharmacy Technician, or ability to obtain within 90 days.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Understanding of Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) services.
• Understanding of person-centered practices.
• Proficiency with MS Office and Adobe Acrobat.
• Experience in addiction treatment is an asset.
• Group facilitation experience is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate groups focused on medication management, MAT, addiction pharmacotherapy, or psychoeducation withdrawals and medications.
• Responsible for the storage, distribution, and discontinuation of residents’ medications, including keeping proper care records and reporting changes in health conditions.
• Work closely with the Recovery Program Supervisor and Clinical Director to identify client’s needs.
• Ensure medication compliance and report non-compliance.
• Receive medications from the pharmacy, follow up on physician communications, audit MAR for transcription discrepancies, and ensure directions match MAR.
• Inventory MARs and Medications to ensure safety of medications, emphasis on MAT.
