Job summary

Newport Meadows Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Christiana, PA, invites applicants for a full-time Maintenance Technician to join the maintenance department. You will preserve the condition and functionality of our premises, conduct quality assessments, schedule repairs, maintain inventory, and help develop preventative maintenance procedures.

Ideal candidates are jack-of-all-trades with knowledge of maintenance procedures, hydraulic systems, and basic tools.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• HVAC certificate or building maintenance certificate preferred.
• At least 2 years of experience in a similar maintenance role.
• Knowledge of electrical and hydraulic systems.
• General maintenance procedures and techniques.
• Ability to work overtime including weekends, holidays, and evenings.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Inspect buildings, equipment, and systems to identify issues.
• Repair faulty equipment and damaged structures.
• Develop and implement preventative maintenance procedures.
• Manage heating and plumbing systems to ensure functionality.
• Plan and schedule repairs.
• Conduct periodic quality checks on equipment and systems.
• Perform general maintenance tasks including landscaping, painting, and carpentry.
