Job summary

Redwood Communities, Inc. is seeking a full-time Porter in Jersey City, NJ to maintain grounds, cleanliness, and the property's overall appearance. You will support the maintenance team with landscaping, janitorial tasks, and minor repairs to ensure a welcoming environment for residents and visitors.

Work schedule is Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm. The role requires a high school diploma and basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and carpentry; background check is required.

Responsibilities

• Landscaping & Grounds Maintenance: mowing, trimming, watering lawns and plants, maintaining flower beds.
• Property Upkeep: keep walkways, driveways, parking lots, and exterior areas debris-free; assist with snow removal if applicable.
• Equipment Maintenance: proper care of landscaping tools and equipment.
• Reporting & Repairs: report maintenance concerns to Property Manager and perform minor repairs.
• Janitorial Duties: clean common areas and manage waste.
• Team Support: assist maintenance staff as needed.
