Job summary

The Pennant Group, Inc. in Wisconsin is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to join our senior living community. You will perform preventative maintenance, assist residents, handle building and grounds upkeep, and respond to maintenance issues as they arise, sometimes outside regular hours.

The role requires reliable, safety-conscious individuals with basic plumbing knowledge and a valid driver's license. You will work with a small team and may coordinate with outside vendors for specialized tasks,

Qualifications

• Prior experience in building maintenance (facility upkeep, preventive tasks).
• Knowledge of plumbing components and basic repairs (fixtures, drains, hot water heaters).
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

About the Opportunity

The Maintenance Assistant provides ongoing preventative maintenance and resident assistance, building and grounds maintenance, troubleshooting maintenance problems and various related tasks as assigned. Performs most tasks independently with occasional assistance of outside vendor. Is available to respond to maintenance emergencies that may arise outside of regular working hours.

• Practices good safety awareness and follows safety procedures, including infection control measures where applicable.
• Ability to be self-supervising and self-motivating. Able to set priorities and complete tasks in a timely manner.
• Must demonstrate a positive, courteous and respectful attitude to residents, families, staff and visitors.

Minimum Qualifications

• Prior experience in building maintenance.

• Plumbing, including but not limited to design/mechanics of commodes, plumbing fixtures, drains, discharge lines, hot water heaters, dishwashers, ice machines, etc.

• Must possess a valid driver’s license; must have clean driving record with no major violations.
