Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of vocational nursing or hold a Texas LVN license or a valid Compact LVN license.
• Must have current, valid LVN license or temporary LVN license from the Texas Board of Nursing.
• Must hold current BLS for Healthcare Providers certification from one of the listed providers.

Responsibilities

• Provide total nursing care under guidance of a Registered Nurse.
• Screen and prioritize patients and ensure timely treatment per orders.
• Assist with coordination and flow of patients, including treatments and discharge activities.
• Ensure compliance with nursing standards, policies, and Joint Commission standards.
• Assist with precepting new employees and students as directed by supervisor.
• Document carefully according to established procedures.
