Job summary

LifeStream Inc. is seeking an LPN Instructor in Massachusetts to deliver comprehensive classroom and clinical instruction for Nurse Aide students under the guidance of the RN Manager of Clinical Education.

The role requires current MA LPN licensure, experience in a health care setting, and the ability to support student competency, safety, and professional development while complying with DPH standards and program regulations.

Qualifications

• Current Massachusetts LPN license.
• Experience in a health care setting; long-term care, acute care, home health or community-based care preferred.
• Experience providing instruction, training, clinical supervision, or mentoring of nursing assistants, health care students, or other adult learners preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated history of quality work performance and teamwork in previous positions.
• Maintenance of an acceptable CORI
• Use of personal vehicle for work purposes
• Initial Physical Exam
• Certified by assigned entity of their presentation

Responsibilities

• Deliver and facilitate the approved curriculum for health care training programs within LifeStream’s Employment and Training Division and the community, in accordance with applicable regulatory and program standards.
• Provide comprehensive classroom and clinical instruction that supports students in developing knowledge, skills, competencies, and professional behaviors for success in health care.
• Demonstrate, teach, and evaluate hands-on clinical skills and practical competencies for safe, effective patient care.
• Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential records of student attendance, academic and clinical progress, competency assessments, and other required documentation.
• Monitor and evaluate student performance in both academic and clinical settings and provide constructive feedback and guidance to support successful completion of program requirements.
• Provide individualized tutoring, remediation, and academic or clinical support to students as needed to promote learning and competency achievement.
• Collaborate with program staff and clinical partners to ensure students receive appropriate learning experiences and support.
• Prepare students for required examinations, skills evaluations, and other assessments for successful completion and entry into health care workforce.
• Ensure instruction, clinical activities, student evaluation, and documentation comply with DPH and other regulatory requirements.
• Maintain current knowledge of health care practices and regulations to keep content accurate and up-to-date.
• Promote a positive, respectful, inclusive, and professional learning environment.

SUMMARY: Reports to and works under the direction of the RN Manager of Clinical Education. The LPN Instructor is responsible for providing comprehensive academic and clinical instruction to Nurse Aide students in accordance with applicable Department of Public Health (DPH) and Office of Private Occupational School Education regulations and standards. The instructor supports students in developing the knowledge, skills, and professional competencies necessary to provide safe, effective, and compassionate care in health care and human services settings. The instructor delivers current and relevant health care information, facilitates classroom and clinical learning experiences, and ensures instruction is provided in a manner that promotes student engagement, competency, and successful preparation for entry into the health care or human services field.
