Job summary

The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania's Department of Corrections at SCI Laurel Highlands is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to provide hands-on nursing care to a diverse population. You will carry out care plans, administer medications, monitor health, and support safety and teamwork within the facility.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Clinical Support: take vital signs, assist with treatments, and support daily living activities.
• Medication Administration: prepare and administer prescribed meds and record actions.
• Emergency Response: provide first aid, CPR or AED as needed.
• Health Documentation: maintain electronic health records and prepare care reports.
• Care Coordination: communicate with nursing, custody and administrative staff.
• Supply Management: sterilize equipment and manage inventory for treatment areas.
