Job summary

The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania invites applications for a Licensed Practical Nurse at SCI Dallas. This full-time role delivers nursing care to inmates with diverse health needs, supporting daily operations and emergency response.

You will check vitals, administer medications, assist clinicians, document care, and manage supplies while maintaining adherence to PA licensure and training requirements. On-site shifts may rotate to cover a 24/7 facility.

Qualifications

• Active LPN license in Pennsylvania.
• If holding a temporary permit, must obtain full LPN license within 1 year.
• Completion of basic training in Elizabethtown, PA is required.
• PA residency is waived for this title.

Responsibilities

• Check vital signs, administer medications, provide treatments, and reinforce health education.
• Assist clinicians during examinations, screenings, immunizations, and testing.
• Provide first aid, CPR, AED response during emergencies.
• Document care activities and update electronic health records.
• Sterilize instruments and manage supply stock in treatment areas.
• Participate in required training and stay updated on policies and procedures.
