OU Health seeks a Licensed Practical Nurse for the South Emergency Department/Freestanding, full-time, mid 1p-1a shift. You will perform nursing care, assessments and routine procedures, with potential OR support if needed. Strong patient communication and adherence to safety protocols are essential.

Qualifications include HS Diploma, NCLEX-PN readiness, and current BLS and Oklahoma LPN license. OU Health offers a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for professional growth.

Formación

• Knowledge of professional nursing theories, practices, techniques.
• Ability to organize, coordinate, plan, and evaluate nursing needs.
• Must understand operating room techniques if applying for a surgery position.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.

Responsabilidades

• Assist nursing assessment through data collection and vital signs.
• Provide care according to established nursing plan.
• Observe changes in patient condition and notify supervisor when needed.
• Provide ostomy care, NG tube placement and feeding.
• Suction and clean tracheotomy sites.
• Administer medications via various routes.
• Prepare patients for routine examinations and assist physician.
• LPN may function as Surgical Tech if OR position opens.
