Job summary

Jackson Care Center is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team full-time. The LPN will provide direct nursing care to residents, supervise STNAs and non-licensed staff, and collaborate with other departments to maintain high-quality care.

The role involves coordinating shifts, ensuring accurate charting, administering medications, and contributing to care plan updates in a supportive, patient-centered environment.

Qualifications

• Active LPN license in good standing.
• Experience supervising STNAs and nursing staff.
• Ability to coordinate with multiple departments.
• Strong charting and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Direct the day-to-day functions of STNAs and nursing personnel in accordance with current rules, regulations, and guidelines.
• Complete and file required recordkeeping forms or charts upon resident admission, transfer, and/or discharge.
• Prepare and administer medications as ordered by the physician.
• Verify resident identity before administering medication; ensure no cross-patient dosing.
• Inform nursing personnel of new admissions and care plans; provide feedback and performance guidance for staff.
• Review resident care plans daily with Nurse Supervisor and adjust as needed.
