Job summary

Cache Valley Bank is seeking a capable loan administrator to join our credit administration team. You will work with loan staff to clear exceptions found during input review and help gather pre/post-loan information.

The role involves tracking and resolving exceptions, learning with supervision, and developing familiarity with our credit policy. After 90 days, you’ll work toward independent resolution with lending teams and compliance leaders.

Qualifications

• Clear, accurate written and spoken communication via email and phone.
• Ability to build simple worksheets and reports in Excel and MS Office.
• Strong problem solving and analytical abilities.
• Knowledge of loan documentation is helpful but not required.
• Sparak banking system experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Works with loan administrative team to clear exceptions found during loan input review.
• Tracks exceptions during pre- and post-loan reviews and clears them when conditions are met.
• Collaborates with department supervisors; assists with pre/post-loan information gathering.
• Performs some loan processing; may receive training in SBA, consumer, commercial and compliance areas.
• Must be familiar with Cache Valley Bank’s credit policy.
• Aims to work independently after 90 days and resolves loan documentation issues with lending teams, compliance officers, and leadership in credit administration.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Works jointly with other loan administrative members to clear exceptions discovered during loan input review


• Track exceptions during pre and post-loan reviews. Clear exceptions once conditions are met


• Work closely with department supervisors, including assisting with pre and post-loan information gathering


• Some loan processing; may include training in SBA, consumer, commercial and compliance areas


• Must be very familiar with Cache Valley Bank’s credit policy


• Must work toward being on his or her own after 90 days and be capable of resolving loan documentation issues with lending teams through collaboration and interaction with the lending teams, compliance officers and with leadership within credit administration

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

• Communicate clearly, accurately and cordially through email and telephone


• Ability to build simple worksheets and reports in Excel and other Microsoft Office products


• Must have problem solving skills


• Knowledge of loan documentation experience is helpful but not required


• Sparak banking system experience preferred.


• Excellent customer service skills, outgoing, able to tactfully resolve issues as they arrive
