CEN in Conway, Arkansas is seeking a Bank Loan Processor to manage loading of new loans and renewals, maintain loan records, and monitor all related transactions. The role includes assisting loan personnel, researching issues, and communicating with customers as needed.

Job description

GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION

Responsible for loading new loans and renewals to the bank's host computer system. Responsible for all loan maintenance after the loan is booked to maintain accurate records for customer information and financial reporting purposes. Responsible for monitoring and clearing unposted items as it pertains to loan transactions. Also responsible for administration of participations bought and sold including communication with other banks to keep participation balances in agreement. Support for loan personnel for corrections to loan accounts, discovery & research, and assist in administration of special asset accounts.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


  • 1. Load new loans and renewals to bank's host computer system.

  • 2. Clear in-process accounts.

  • 3. Clear un-posted items.

  • 4. Clear pass-thru accounts.

  • 5. Process participation payments and advances.

  • 6. Process bankruptcy payments & paperwork.

  • 7. Review loan file maintenance for accuracy.

  • 8. Support loan officers/assistants in researching loan problems and/or issues.

  • 9. Answer phone requests and inquiries promptly & professionally.

  • 10. Completes required BSA/AML training and other compliance training as assigned.

  • 11. The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.

  • 12. Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.


QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Knowledge of a specialized field (however acquired), such as basic accounting, computer, etc. Equivalent of four years in high school, plus night, trade extension, or correspondence school specialized training, equal to two years of college, plus 19 to 23 months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.


COMMUNICATION SKILLS

Ability to effectively communicate information and respond to questions in person-to-person and small group situations with customers, clients, general public and other employees of the organization.


MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.


CRITICAL THINKING SKILLS

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
