Job summary

Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA seeks married couples to serve as Full-time Flex Houseparents. You will live on campus in student homes, providing care, guidance, supervision, and support for approximately 8-13 students to foster academic, emotional, and social growth.

Responsibilities include supervision, routines, medications, activities, devotions, and budgeting. The position starts with a nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, progressing to a placed houseparent role

Qualifications

• Two-person couple role for married pairs (two spouses)
• Both spouses must be age 27 or older
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and able to become certified to drive student vans
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty

Responsibilities

• Provide daily supervision and mentorship to students
• Manage household routines and student schedules
• Administer medications and monitor student wellness
• Escort students to activities and lead developmental/recreational activities
• Lead daily devotions and accompany students to Sunday Chapel
• Oversee budgeting and household reporting
