Job summary

wesleywillows in Rockford, IL seeks a Full-Time Cook to prepare and cook a variety of foods per menus and dietary needs. You will operate kitchen equipment, maintain sanitation, and support storage and inventory.

Team collaboration is essential as you work with dining services to ensure quality and attentive service. This role requires 18+ years old with 1–3 years of line cooking and experience in institutional or hospital settings preferred.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent is required.
• 2 years of food service experience in a hospital or long-term care setting preferred.
• Must be 18 years or older to operate potentially hazardous equipment.
• 1–3 years of line cooking and preparation duties is required.
• Experience in institutional cooking and fine dining is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook a variety of foods according to planned menus and dietary requirements.
• Operate kitchen equipment and maintain cleanliness and sanitation.
• Assist with food storage, inventory, and support special functions.
