Job description

Join to apply for the Full Time Line Cook role at Woodside Communities.

Basic Job Responsibility: We are looking for a professional Line Cook to prepare food to the exact chef’s specifications and to set up stations for the menu. Line Cook duties will include assisting the executive and sous chef with their daily tasks. The successful candidate will play a key role in contributing to our customer satisfaction and acquisition goals.

Specific Responsibilities
  1. Assisting with stocking and setting up the kitchen stations.
  2. Preparing food including cleaning and cutting ingredients and cooking main dishes, desserts, and appetizers.
  3. Assisting with cleaning, sanitation, and organization of the kitchen, equipment, walk-in coolers, freezers, and storage areas.
  4. Plating prepared foods based on the guidance of the Executive Sous Chef.
  5. Working with servers to ensure orders are completed accurately and timely.
  6. Operating large volume cooking equipment such as mixers, slicers, ovens, grills, fryers, and griddles.
  7. Labeling and stocking ingredients for organization and accessibility.
  8. Verifying that food meets quality, presentation, and quantity standards.
  9. Performing other kitchen duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • At least 2 years of prep or line cook experience.
  • Basic understanding of professional cooking and knife skills.
  • Knowledge of safety, sanitation, and food handling procedures.
  • Good communication skills and a team player attitude.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • ServSafe certification is a plus but not required.
  • Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends, nights, and holidays.

This position reports directly to the Executive Chef, Executive Sous Chef, and ultimately to the General Manager.

Salary

$15-$17/hr based on experience.
