Job summary

Greater Philadelphia YMCA is seeking lifeguards for morning shifts. You will ensure the safety of pool participants while developing leadership and communication skills in a community-focused environment.

Qualifications

We are looking for individuals age 18+ to serve as lifeguards. As a lifeguard, you develop important skills such as communication, leadership and responsibility that will serve you for a lifetime!

What is needed for this job:

• American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification or ability to pass the course
• Passionate about safety around water and strong swim skills
• Age 18+
• Weekend availability is a must

The responsibilities we will trust you with:

• Ensuring the safety and surveillance of all pool participants
• Understanding and applying organizational safety procedures for the pool deck and aquatic areas
• Maintaining organization and cleanliness of the pool deck, including skimming and brushing
