Job summary

Rose E. Schneider Family YMCA in Cranberry Township, PA seeks a Head Lifeguard who helps the Aquatics Director develop and implement high-quality lifeguard services and ensure a fully staffed pool environment.

You will support the YMCA’s mission to strengthen community through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility by welcoming and assisting members and guiding staff with safety rules.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum age of 18; required.
• Lifeguard Certification including CPR/AED; required.
• Oxygen Administration certification within 30 days of employment; required.
• Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people within the community.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and establish lifeguard work schedules for all shifts.
• Lifeguard if a shift is not covered.
• Assist in proofreading lifeguard schedules for payroll.
• Recruit, schedule, coordinate and onboard lifeguard staff with Aquatics Director.
• Provide quality member service by knowing members and remaining professional at all times.
• Develop lifeguard customer service skills and job performance with the director.
• Enforce aquatic safety rules and YMCA policies.
• Maintain pool logs and report needed pool maintenance.
