Job summary

Artis Senior Living is seeking a Life Enrichment Assistant to lead activities for residents, especially those living with dementia. The role focuses on creating engaging programs and daily entertainment in a supportive community.

Responsibilities include developing monthly calendars, coordinating with other staff and outside partners, and maintaining family communication. A high school diploma is required, with dementia familiarity preferred. Schedule varies based on community needs.

Responsibilities

• Create and develop programs that meet the individualized needs of residents.
• Collaborate with other Life Enrichment Assistants to develop a monthly calendar that meets Artis standards and residents’ interests.
• Utilize the Partnership Profile to develop appropriate programs of interest to residents.
• Utilize the associate Partnership Profile to involve associates in programs of interest and to enhance the monthly calendar.
• Demonstrate the company philosophy of Positive Partnerships the ARTIS Way.
• Coordinate with outside agencies and organizations to develop programs that enhance resident experience.
• Plan trips for residents that meet their individual needs and are appropriate for residents with memory loss.
• Provide information to the Director of Life Enrichment regarding resident engagement to assist with the development of a personalized care plan.
• Maintain communication with family members regarding level of participation in programs.
• Support and maintain an effective volunteer program through screening, orienting, training, supervising and evaluating volunteers.
