Mantra Counseling Services is seeking a compassionate, licensed mental health professional for a full-time telehealth therapist role in Franklin, TN. The position focuses on culturally sensitive care for diverse populations via remote sessions, with standard hours Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–6:00 PM.

Qualifications

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology.
• Valid license in Tennessee as LMFT, LPC/MHSP, LPC, or LCSW.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth, culturally sensitive mental health assessments and tailor treatment plans.

Work Environment

This position is remote, making it possible for you to work from the comfort of your home while still engaging closely with patients through our telehealth platform. The flexible scheduling allows you to balance work and personal life effectively, though some adjustments may be needed to cater to your clients’ schedules. The standard work hours are from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions, adapting techniques to meet the diverse cultural and personal needs of your clients.
• Facilitate individual, family, and group therapy sessions aimed at alleviating mental health concerns and fostering a supportive atmosphere that promotes resilience and well-being.
• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other healthcare professionals to provide coordinated and comprehensive care that addresses all aspects of a patient's health.
• Respond promptly and effectively during mental health emergencies, offering crisis intervention and support when required.
• Educate patients and their families on mental health conditions, available treatment options, and community resources, empowering them with knowledge to make informed choices.
• Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation in accordance with legal and ethical guidelines, ensuring patient information is accurately recorded and protected.
• Engage proactively in case conferences and multidisciplinary team meetings, contributing to discussions that advance patient care and treatment strategies.
• Participate in cultural competency training sessions to enhance your skills and improve service delivery to our diverse patient population.
• Stay abreast of the latest research, clinical best practices, and relevant cultural considerations in the field of mental health therapy, applying this knowledge to benefit patient outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a mental health counselor at Mantra Counseling Services, you will work with a variety of patients, including those from ethnic and cultural minorities, LGBTQ+ communities, and immigrant groups. Your role will not only focus on individual therapy but also include group sessions that encourage community engagement and support. You will be crucial in creating a safe space where all patients feel understood and validated, particularly during challenging times.

Qualifications

• A Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Valid license in the state of Tennessee as an LMFT, LPC/MHSP, LPC, or LCSW.
• Strong understanding of mental health disorders and culturally competent therapy practices.
• Proven experience in delivering both individual and group therapy, emphasizing culturally responsive approaches tailored to meet diverse patient needs.
• Exceptional crisis intervention skills, with the ability to maintain professionalism and composure under pressure.
• Outstanding interpersonal and communication abilities, enabling you to establish rapport with patients from various backgrounds.
• Technologically proficient, with experience in using electronic health record (EHR) systems to track patient progress and maintain documentation.
• Commitment to adhering to professional ethics, maintaining confidentiality, and setting professional boundaries.
• Ability to effectively collaborate within a multidisciplinary team, fostering a cooperative work environment that focuses on patient care.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in a telehealth or remote counseling setting.
• Background working with underserved populations or in community mental health settings.
• Specialized training or experience with evidence-based therapy modalities such as CBT, DBT, or trauma-informed care.
