Job summary

Pure Insight Counseling Services in Newark, New Jersey, is seeking a dedicated Licensed Mental Health Therapist for a full-time, largely remote position with occasional in-person sessions in our outpatient setting.

You will assess and treat diverse clients, collaborate with psychiatrists and other professionals, provide crisis intervention, and document meticulously in compliant EHR systems.

Qualifications

• Master's or Doctoral degree in a relevant field (Social Work, MFT, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology).
• Current NJ licensure as LMFT, LPC, or LCSW is required.
• Proven experience with individual and group therapy and culturally competent care.

Responsibilities

• Conduct culturally sensitive mental health assessments and develop personalized treatment plans.
• Deliver individual and group therapy using evidence-based approaches.

Work Environment

This position will primarily be remote, with an outpatient office setting available for occasional in-person sessions as required. Our practice consists of an interdisciplinary team of mental health professionals who work together in a collaborative atmosphere. You will work Monday to Friday, typically from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with some scheduling flexibility needed to accommodate patient needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough and culturally sensitive mental health assessments to understand patients' unique backgrounds and needs, developing personalized treatment plans based on evidence-based practices.
• Implement tailored therapeutic interventions, utilizing both individual and group therapy sessions to address mental health concerns, fostering resilience, and supporting overall well-being.
• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other healthcare providers to deliver comprehensive care that integrates various treatment modalities.
• Provide crisis intervention and immediate support for individuals experiencing mental health emergencies, ensuring safety and stabilization.
• Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions and available treatment resources, enhancing their understanding and engagement in the therapeutic process.
• Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation in compliance with all legal and ethical standards, ensuring continuity of care and open communication among the care team.
• Engage in regular team meetings, case conferences, and ongoing cultural competency training to continually enhance professional practices and patient care.
• Stay updated on the latest research and developments in mental health therapy, integrating relevant findings into your therapeutic approach.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in delivering individual and group therapy, utilizing inclusive approaches that respect patient diversity.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, fostering strong rapport with diverse clients.
• Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems and relevant software applications.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this position is competitive, with an annual remuneration between USD 70,000 and 100,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
