Job Description

Microbiology lead laboratory technologist, under the direction of supervisor, will be responsible for day-to-day test performance in microbiology laboratory, delegated supervisory functions for the microbiology laboratory and or other required duties to maintain laboratory operations. Rotates weekends, works on holidays, collaborates with other sections of laboratory, as well as other departments within institution, to provide highest quality patient care.

Requirements

At a minimum 6 years of experience with Bachelor's degree in a chemical, physical, biological or clinical laboratory science or medical technology or associate degree in clinical laboratory science or medical technology program or 4 years with a master degree and Clinical Laboratory Technologist License issued by the New York State Education Department.

Laboratory Preferences : E ducation, training and experience commensurate with clinical laboratory medicine necessary for the design, validation and delivery of clinically relevant and useful laboratory services.
