Job summary

Management & Training Corporation (MTC) operates the Bluebonnet Detention Facility in Anson, TX. The Laundry Worker will ensure proper use and maintenance of laundry equipment and keep records in line with directives.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or equivalent and at least one year of institutional laundry experience, plus a Texas driver’s license if required. The role is full-time with a benefits package including health, life, paid holidays and a 401(k).

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of institutional laundry experience including receiving, inventory and shipping.
• Must complete required pre-service training.
• Valid Texas driver’s license with acceptable driving record, unless waived.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain laundry equipment and perform routine maintenance.
• Test wash formulas as required.
• Handle detainee receipt, storage, repair and issue of necessities and manage inventory control.
• Maintain related records and prepare related reports.
• Direct the work of detainees assigned to laundry.
