Job summary

Management & Training Corporation (MTC) operates the Bluebonnet Detention Facility in Anson, TX. This full-time role focuses on washing operations, equipment maintenance and strict record-keeping for laundry functions within a secure facility.

You will supervise detainees and manage inventory, ensuring compliance with MTC and customer directives while contributing to a safe work environment. The position is based in Anson, TX and requires standing for long periods and physical effort.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 1 year of experience in institutional laundry operations including receiving, inventory, and shipping of supplies.
• Must complete required pre-service training.
• Valid Texas driver’s license with acceptable driving record, unless waived.

Responsibilities

• Operate laundry equipment and perform routine and preventive maintenance.
• Perform tests on wash formulas.
• Receipt, storage, repair and issue of detainee necessities and inventory control.
• Maintain related records and related reports.
• Direct the work of detainees assigned to assist in the laundry.

What you’ll do: You’ll be responsible for proper use and maintenance of laundry equipment and maintaining records of laundry operations in compliance with Management & Training Corporation (MTC) and customer directives.

Essential Functions

• Operate laundry equipment. Perform routine and preventive maintenance on equipment.
• Perform tests on wash formulas.
• Provide the receipt, storage, repair and issue of detainee necessities, and implement inventory control procedures.
• Maintain related records and preparation for related reports.
• Direct the work of detainees assigned to assist in the laundry.
• Requires long periods of walking and standing
• Requires the pushing and pulling of laundry carts and lifting of laundry bags full of laundry which could weigh up to 30 lbs.

Education And Experience Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• One (1) year of experience in institutional laundry operations, including experience in the following areas: receiving, inventory and shipping of supplies required.
• Must successfully complete required pre-service training.
• Valid driver’s license in the state of Texas with an acceptable driving record required, unless waived by management.
