Tennessee State Veterans Homes in Humboldt, TN is hiring a full-time Laundry Aide for the 7:00 AM–3:00 PM or 3:00 PM–11:00 PM shifts in our skilled nursing facility for veterans. The role supports resident care by ensuring clean, properly handled linens and garments are available for daily operations.

Ideal candidates have healthcare laundry experience, can read standard English, and work well independently while coordinating with nursing staff.

Qualifications

• Previous housekeeping/laundry aide experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
• Must be able to read and understand Standard English.
• Ability to work independently and adjust cleaning activities to residents and staff needs.

Responsibilities

• Sort and separate laundry by color and fabric care labels.
• Operate and maintain laundry machines (washers/dryers).
• Load/unload laundry with proper weights and settings.
• Check items for stains/damages before laundering.
• Inspect and fold cleaned laundry and store properly.
• Assist with delivery of clean laundry to residents and staff areas.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean laundry area.
• Collaborate with team to ensure smooth workflow.
