Job summary

Cherry Hill Nursing and Rehab in Westland, MI is seeking a dedicated Laundry Assistant to join our skilled nursing facility. You will launder, organize, and distribute linens and residents’ personal clothing to maintain a clean, comfortable environment.

This is a full-time 2:00 PM–10:00 PM shift. Duties include following established laundry procedures, loading washers, folding, transporting items to resident rooms, and keeping the laundry area safe and organized.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in laundry, housekeeping, cleaning, or a related field preferred
• Familiarity with laundry equipment and cleaning materials
• Must be at least 18 years of age

Responsibilities

• Follow established laundry procedures and facility policies
• Place soiled facility linens and residents' personal laundry into washing machines
• Sort, wash, dry, fold, and organize linens and clothing
• Fold or hang residents' personal laundry and transport it to resident rooms
• Hang clothing in closets and place clothing in drawers
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry area
• Operate laundry equipment safely and efficiently
• Follow all safety and laundry procedures
