Job summary

Schweiger Dermatology Group is hiring a Full-Time Lab Aide for our California Pathology office in San Jose - Los Gatos. You will support the laboratory with specimen intake and administrative duties.

The role does not involve technical duties and requires adherence to SOPs, accuracy, and professional conduct. Availability is Monday through Friday, 9:00am–5:30pm, with a team-oriented approach and commitment to safety.

Qualifications

• Requires at least a high school diploma or GED; associate degree preferred.
• Must be computer savvy and proficient in Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Six months experience in a similar role preferred; strong organizational and communication skills.
• Background checks and SOP training to ensure lab compliance.

Responsibilities

• Receive laboratory specimens from courier.
• Review specimens for proper labeling and acceptability.
• Resolve labeling discrepancies per SOP.
• Sort cases for in-house processing or reference labs.
• Enter grossing information into LIS and prepare cases for transfer.
• Maintain a safe, clean work environment and observe PPE rules.
