Job summary

Air Culinaire Worldwide is seeking a Dishwasher in Carlstadt, NJ to support kitchen staff with sanitation and tool provisioning. The role involves washing dishes, cleaning and maintaining facilities, and small prep tasks as needed.

You’ll work under the direction of Chefs to uphold high sanitation standards and assist with daily operations. The position requires a high school diploma, basic food knowledge, and the ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or its equivalent required.
• Kitchen experience and basic food knowledge.
• Demonstrated ability to take orders and follow through as well as work well with others in a team-driven, fast-paced environment is essential.
• Must be energetic, enthusiastic, creative, and highly motivated.
• Highly motivated to assist in food preparation and presentation when called upon

Responsibilities

• Washing dishes, mopping floors, cleaning equipment, bathrooms and other kitchen areas as assigned to maintain a clean facility.
• Assist with small kitchen prep duties as assigned by manager.
• Regular cleaning of refrigerated areas.
• Relies on instruction and pre-established guidelines.
• Assist with other duties in the Kitchen during busy times.
• Maintain a safe, orderly, and sanitized kitchen by monitoring sanitation stations and logs.
• Operate dishwashers and related cleaning equipment.
• Removal of trash.
• Collaborate with Chefs to meet sanitation standards.
• Use Shipday for order logistics and deliveries where applicable.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the General Manager.
