Job summary

Diversified Maintenance is hiring a Janitor to perform general cleaning and preservation of assigned areas across client sites. The role requires flexibility to handle diverse tasks per client needs and adherence to safety and cleanliness standards.

The position offers full-time hours, Monday through Friday, 7am to 4pm, with an $17.00 per hour pay rate. Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent or 6 months janitorial experience; on-the-job training is provided.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and clean all floor surfaces by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming.
• Follow procedures for chemical cleaners and power equipment to protect floors and surfaces.
• Clean and monitor restrooms, meeting rooms, corridors, and entrances.
• Empty trash and manage waste; operate a compactor for certain materials.
• Clean windows, glass partitions and mirrors using appropriate cleaners.
• Spot clean carpets and assist with carpet extractions and shampooing.
• Replenish paper products and sanitary supplies.
• Adhere to the housekeeping schedule and use heavy cleaning equipment when needed.
