This position is located on Atlanta Technical College’s Main campus, just South of Downtown Atlanta.Under general supervision of the Dean of Health and Public Safety Technology, the Full-Time Instructor (Dental Hygiene) is responsible for preparing and delivering quality curriculum with daily instruction of students in the classroom, dental lab & clinical settings.Duties and responsibilities will include, but may not be limited to, the following:Prepares and delivers quality curriculum with daily instruction of students in the classroom, dental lab & clinical settings.Demonstrate the use of appropriate testing and grading procedures, including proper maintenance of grade books and any other appropriate record-keeping requirements.Demonstrate the effective use of oral and written communication skills, and knowledge of current procedures in the Dental Hygiene field.Follow approved curriculum standards and course syllabus.Monitor student use of supplies, materials, and equipment.Advise and counsel students and maintain appropriate advisement records on each student.Maintain classrooms, clinics, and laboratories in accordance with approved classroom and lab management plans.Attend meetings as required.Observe and enforce the institution’s policies and regulations.Assist with student recruitment and job placement.
