Job summary

Jonathan Alder Local School District is seeking a dedicated Instructional Aide to support certified staff in delivering instructional activities for students with diverse needs. The role includes supervising students during non-instructional times and assisting with classroom materials.

The position runs 7 hours per day with a 30-minute unpaid lunch, starting October 1, 2026. Salary approx $25,900 per year, with benefits including medical, dental, vision, life and retirement options.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Successful completion of college coursework or passing of NCLB requirements.
• Prior experience with special needs desirable; background checks required.

Responsibilities

• Assist students to reinforce reading, language arts, mathematics, computer instruction.
• Work with students individually and in small groups to reinforce learning.
• Assist in administration and correction of tests and assessments.
• Prepare instructional materials and reinforce skills according to student needs.
• Assist with record-keeping to document student progress.
• Assist with classroom behavioral management and safety.
