PITT OHIO is hiring a Full Time Dockworker-Inbound for our Cheswick, PA location. The role involves loading and unloading freight, reading shipping labels, and following DOT procedures to ensure safe operations.

Qualifications

• Must pass a NON-DOT physical examination.
• Must consent to a pre-employment drug screen with a negative result.
• Must read and write English and perform simple mathematical calculations.
• Must consent to a ten-year check on work history with any gaps disclosed.
• You will be an at-will employee with no guaranteed employment.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload freight according to DOT requirements on/off trucks by hand or using a hand truck or dolly.
• Sort and secure items on trucks or dock to prevent damage.
• Perform heavy lifting of various materials (cartons, bags, drums, crates, pipes, etc.).
• Operate common material handling tools: carts, dollies, pallet jacks, tow motors.
• Follow safety, DOT, and company procedures; process paperwork daily.
