Job summary

Lap of Love Veterinary Hospice is expanding its mobile hospice team in Omaha and surrounding areas. You will serve families in their homes, providing compassionate hospice and euthanasia care as a trusted in-home veterinarian.

The role offers flexible 2-5 day-per-week schedules, enabling work-life balance, with mentorship and ongoing support from experienced leaders as you practice with purpose in a mobile setting.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine required.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license required.
• Weekend availability may be required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted and 100 lbs with assistance.
• Background and motor vehicle record check will be conducted.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-home hospice and euthanasia care for pets and families.
• Deliver compassionate veterinary care in clients' homes.
• Collaborate with mentors and practice managers to deliver high-quality service.
• Represent Lap of Love with professionalism and empathy in every visit.

• Veterinarian Salary Range – 3-day, 4-day, and 5-day full‑time opportunities are available in Omaha, Fort Calhoun, Waterloo, Springfield, Bennington, Boys Town, NE and surrounding areas. Compensation varies based on schedule structure, with 4-day positions starting at $85,000 and 5-day positions offering a base salary of $100,000, plus additional bonus opportunities. 3-Day Full-Time and Part-time opportunities are also available in this market and offer prorated compensation based on schedule

Requirements

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD/BVMS)
• Must possess a valid U.S. driver's license
• Availability to work some weekends
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted and up to 100 lbs with assistance
• Candidates will be subject to a background and motor vehicle record check, post-hire and before their associated start date
