Lap of Love Veterinary Hospice in New Mexico is seeking an In-Home Associate Veterinarian to serve Albuquerque, Rio Rancho, Placitas, Corrales, Santa Fe and surrounding areas. As a mobile hospice provider, you’ll deliver compassionate care in clients’ homes and balance medicine with family-centered support.

You’ll join a vet-led team with mentorship, flexible 2-5 day schedules, and generous benefits. Starting 4-day roles from $107,500 and 5-day roles at $130,000 plus bonus opportunities; 3-day

Qualifications

• DVM/DVMS degree and licensure in the U.S.
• Valid U.S. driver's license
• Availability to work some weekends
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted and up to 100 lbs with assistance
• Background and motor vehicle record check, post-hire and before start date

Responsibilities

• Provide hospice and euthanasia care for pets in clients' homes.
• Operate as a mobile veterinarian across Albuquerque, Rio Rancho, Placitas, Corrales, Santa Fe and surrounding NM areas.
• Collaborate with mentors, practice managers, and support staff to ensure compassionate, high-quality care.

• Veterinarian Salary Range: 3-day, 4-day, and 5-day full-time opportunities are available in Albuquerque, Rio Rancho, Placitas, Corrales, Sandia Park, Santa Fe, Tijeras, NM and surrounding areas. Compensation varies based on schedule structure, with 4-day positions starting at $107,500 and 5-day positions offering a base salary of $130,000, plus additional bonus opportunities. 3-Day Full-Time and Part-time opportunities are also available in this market and offer prorated compensation based on schedule

Requirements

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD/BVMS)
• Must possess a valid U.S. driver's license
• Availability to work some weekends
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted and up to 100 lbs with assistance
• Candidates will be subject to a background and motor vehicle record check, post-hire and before their associated start date
