Sisters-of-St.-Franci in Stella Niagara, NY, is seeking a Housekeeper/Laundry Assistant. The role focuses on cleaning public areas and private living spaces across the convent, Center of Renewal, and health facilities, performing laundry tasks and operating machines.

This full-time, 40-hour-per-week position offers non-exempt status and requires occasional weekend/evening/holiday coverage. The site emphasizes teamwork and attention to schedule.

Qualifications

• Experience preferred, or a willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Cleans public areas in the convent, Center of Renewal and Health Center.
• Cleans private living areas in the convent, Health Center and other halls.
• Operates laundry equipment including washer, wringer, dryer and iron.
• Performs assigned tasks in a timely and professional manner.
• Reads directions and communicates clearly to perform tasks.
• Attends staff meetings and trainings when scheduled.
• Operates housekeeping and laundry equipment and large machines.
• Orders cleaning supplies when necessary.
• Requests maintenance help for heavy items over 50 lbs.
• Provides weekend/evening/holiday coverage as needed.
• Works as a team, respecting resident privacy.
