Job summary

Lap of Love Veterinary Hospice is seeking an In-Home, Associate Veterinarian to serve Sterling Heights, MI and surrounding areas. This role offers a flexible schedule and the chance to practice veterinary medicine with a focus on hospice and end‑of‑life care in clients' homes.

You’ll join a community of professionals who value balance, mentorship, and independent practice while receiving onboarding, coaching, and a supportive practice team.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD/BVMS).
• Must possess a valid U.S. driver’s license.
• Availability to work some weekends.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted and up to 100 lbs with assistance.
• Candidates will be subject to a background and motor vehicle record check, post‑hire and before their associated start date.

Responsibilities

• Provide hospice and euthanasia care for pets and families in home settings.
• Deliver compassionate medical care that respects families and pets during difficult times.

• Salary Range

  3‑day, 4‑day, and 5‑day full‑time opportunities are available in the Sterling Heights, MI area. Compensation varies based on schedule structure, with 4‑day positions starting at $107,500 and 5‑day positions offering a base salary of $130,000, plus additional bonus opportunities. 3‑Day Full‑Time and Part‑time opportunities are also available in this market and offer prorated compensation based on schedule.
