Job summary

Lap of Love Veterinary Hospice invites an in-home Associate Veterinarian to Sterling Heights, MI and surrounding areas, practicing compassionate hospice and euthanasia care for pets in their homes. The role supports work-life balance with flexible 2-5 day-per-week schedules and a path toward professional fulfillment within a supportive network of mentors and practice managers.

Veterinarian-founded and mobile by design, Lap of Love offers ongoing training, 24/7 support, and a guaranteed base

Qualifications

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD/BVMS) required.
• Valid US driver’s license required.
• Availability to work some weekends.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted and up to 100 lbs with assistance.
• Background and motor vehicle record check will be conducted.

Responsibilities

• Provide hospice and euthanasia care for pets and families in home settings.
• Practice as a mobile veterinarian serving Sterling Heights, MI, and surrounding areas.
• Deliver compassionate care while maintaining client communication and medical documentation.

• Veterinarian Salary Range: Part-time (2-day/week) opportunities available in the Sterling Heights, MI area, offering a guaranteed base salary of $55,000 annually plus bonus opportunities and benefits. Full-time (3-day, 4-day, and 5-day) compensation details available upon request

Requirements

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD/BVMS)
• Must possess a valid U.S. driver’s license
• Availability to work some weekends
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted and up to 100 lbs with assistance
• Candidates will be subject to a background and motor vehicle record check, post-hire and before their associated start date
