Job summary

UPMC Passavant–McCandless, an ANCC Magnet hospital, is hiring a Full-Time Floor & Project Technician to support our Housekeeping team. Schedule: 2nd shift 2pm-11pm. This role offers room to grow and a dependable work environment.

You will handle emergency cleanups, shampoo carpets, maintain floors, inspect areas, and ensure safety according to procedures. The position emphasizes teamwork, adherence to sanitation standards, and opportunities to learn new skills within UPMC.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required, or 1 year of relevant experience.
• Successful completion of the 5-week EVS training program.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to use all housekeeping equipment.
• No contact with medications.

Responsibilities

• Handle emergency cleanups with proper sanitizing procedures.
• Shampoo and extract carpets in assigned areas.
• Maintain floors by removing soil, wax, and sealers.
• Inspect assigned areas and report issues to supervisor.
• Use and care for equipment safely and responsibly.
• Follow safety and sanitation standards to keep patients, visitors, and staff safe.
• Work within hospital policies and support system-wide behaviors.
• Perform other duties as needed to support the team.
