Job summary

Atlantic Health Hackettstown Medical Center is seeking a Per Diem Environmental Aide I (Housekeeping) for the Environmental Services Department. Hours are 12:00AM–8:00AM with every-other-weekend shift. Starting rate is $21.21/hr.

Responsibilities include cleaning rooms and common areas, emptying trash, dusting, mopping, sanitizing surfaces, and handling soiled linen. Requirements: HS Diploma or GED; English literacy; ability to lift up to 50 lbs; solid work history; and prior hospital

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED/Equivalent required or will obtain within 1 year of employment.
• To provide a safe environment to our patients, we require that all candidates must be able to read, write and speak English.
• Solid work history a must.
• Need to meet the fit testing requirement.
• Must be able to lift, push, pull up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• General cleaning, empty trash, high/low dusting, mop floors, sanitize all furniture inpatient rooms, clean commode, clean bathrooms and discard debris, remove soiled linen and replace with fresh linen in patient rooms.
• Position includes cleaning of bodily fluids.
