Job summary

UPMC McKeesport is a fulltime custodial role within the Environmental Services team, ensuring patient rooms and hospital areas are clean, safe, and sanitary. The job involves operating cleaning equipment and following strict healthcare policies to protect patient care.

The position offers a 11:00 am–7:30 pm shift with weekend/holiday responsibilities, strong benefits, and opportunities for growth within the department.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year prior custodial experience preferred.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Must be able to operate cleaning equipment.

Responsibilities

• Clean patient rooms and operating rooms daily and perform terminal cleaning at discharge.
• Adhere to policies regarding patient care and hospital information.
• Operate cleaning equipment (buffers, wringers, scrubbers, vacuums).
• Disinfect equipment and surfaces with EPA approved solutions.
• Maintain floors by scrubbing, stripping, and refinishing as needed.
