Job summary

Halcyon Home LLC in Cypress, Texas is seeking a dedicated Full Time Hospice CNA to support our geriatric hospice population in Cypress and Katy, TX and surrounding areas. You will provide direct patient care under the supervision of the RN, assist with transfers, report changes, and maintain infection control, comfort, and dignity.

A current Texas CNA certification and hospice or senior care experience preferred; strong communication and compassionate demeanor are essential.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care under RN direction and Aide Plan of Care.

• Promotes respectful communication with patients, families, and staff.
• Respects patient privacy and property.
• Helps with nutrition and hydration as appropriate.
• Maintains efficient time management to support Hospice operations.
• Performs treatments and procedures per Hospice policy as qualified.

Essential Functions:

• Provides direct patient care to patient under direction of the RN and according to the Aide Plan of Care.
• Provides necessary skills to assist the patient with safe transfers and ambulation per the Hospice policy.
• Provides necessary skill to appropriately report changes and document pertinent information and care rendered to patient to ensure continuity of care.
• Practices accepted infection control principles. Provide a clean, safe, and comfortable environment.
• Promotes positive, supportive, respectful communication to patient/family and other employees.
• Provides an environment which promotes respect for patient, privacy, and property.
• Provides skills necessary to assist the patient with proper nutrition and adequate fluid intake.
• Contributes to the management and efficient operation of the Hospice and demonstrate effective time management skills.
• Provides skills necessary to perform treatments and procedures according to the Hospice policy.
• Promotes the Hospice philosophy and administrative policies to ensure quality of care.

Salary Information

$24 - $26Hourly Wage

Requirements

• Current CNA certification in Texas.
• Proven experience in hospice or senior care preferred.

Payrate: $24-$26 per hour
