Arc Hospice & Palliative Care Internal Careers is seeking a Full-Time Hospice Aide (CNA) to deliver compassionate personal care in patients’ homes and licensed facilities across Lake and Sumter counties. The role follows a Monday–Friday 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM schedule with potential weekend or after-hours support as needed.

Qualifications

• Active CNA certification in good standing with required training hours.
• Current CPR certification.
• Ability to read and follow written care instructions and document care accurately.
• Understanding hospice philosophy and the needs of terminally ill individuals.
• Must have reliable transportation and valid driver’s license.

Responsabilités

• Provide personal care such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, oral hygiene, and skin care.
• Assist with ambulation, transfers, repositioning, and ROM exercises as instructed.
• Observe and report changes to the supervising nurse.
• Assist with meals, feeding, and hydration as per care plan.
• Offer companionship and emotional support to patients.
• Take and record vital signs as trained.
• Maintain a clean, safe patient environment and assist with light housekeeping.
• Provide respite to family caregivers during visits.
• Document care in agency systems and timelines.
• Follow HIPAA privacy guidelines and infection control practices.
• Participate in team meetings and training sessions.
• Deliver care in patients' homes and licensed facilities.
• Provide weekend or after-hours support when directed.
